European Youth Forum Neumarkt: Europe meets China!

17. Apr. 2024

Forum for students from Europe and China to network, discuss ideas and get innovative inputs!

The European Union and China have a common interest in stable and constructive relations with respect for the rules-based international order. EYFON sees itself as a dialogue platform for young people and enables them to look at other cultures and continents while having in mind human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. This will be done by a common seminar with young Chinese students, coming from China and other countries. The topics will focus on differences and common aspects, values and approaches to ensure a better understanding and view on each other

cultures and politics. Current challenges of Europe and the world in general and the relationship between the European Union and China in particular should also be in the foreground this week.

Especially young Chinese and Europeans aged between 18 and 25 years are invited to learn, to discuss and to develop intercultural competences during this seminar week. The Confucius Institute Graz, the EYFON team and external speakers from relevant institutions as the Chinese embassy, various experts as well as journalists and economists enter into discussion with the seminar participants and are available with their specialist knowledge. A selected leisure program will strengthen team building and ensure conviviality and relaxation.”
